Hanna Yurkovetskaya
Hanna Yurkovetskaya is a recognized human resources expert and labor relations expert. Hanna is a highly effective and accomplished professional whose Human Resources experience spans over 11 years. Hanna has extensive experience as an investigator, negotiator, analyst and advisor. Hanna has worked with various industries in the public and private sector; among them are government, health and human services and healthcare. For over a decade, she has proactively partnered with all levels of management to attain positive business results as well as solid, progressive HR policies and procedures.
During her tenure, Hanna Yurkovetskaya has developed skills in communication, negotiation, grievance handling and mediation. Hanna is known as an effective and credible leader who is able to implement cross-functional labor relations strategies in complex organizations.
Career
Throughout her career, she has worked for several large agencies including the entire City of New York, where she served as an Employee and Labor Relations Specialist. Hanna worked closely with management providing advice and counsel to company executives on all types of workplace law issues, including effectively developing employee policies and practices, conducting discrimination and harassment investigations, administering FMLA and disability leave requests and wage and hour compliance. While working for the City of NY, Hanna has worked alongside The Law Department, Office of Labor Relations (OLR), Office of Trials and Administrative Hearing (OATH), the Department of Investigation (DOI) and the Mayor’s Office.
In 2012, Hanna Yurkovetskaya took on the role of Senior Employee and Labor Relations Specialist at FEGS Health and Human Services, the largest health and human service agency of its kind in the world, where she strategically partnered with leadership to develop long and short-term business objectives, redesigned organizational structure to maximize company capabilities and profits, and developed solid workplace relationships at all levels. Currently, Hanna is a member of the Executive Management Team at Prime Healthcare where she is in charge of employee and labor relations and talent acquisition.
Hanna Yurkovetskaya has always been career driven and has worked hard to get to where she currently is. Throughout her college career, Hanna took classes at night and worked full time as an HR Coordinator for Adorama. Despite a busy schedule and workload, she managed to maintain a high GPA and make it to the Dean’s List every semester. Hanna is a first generation college graduate and the daughter of Russian immigrants who moved to the United States in the 1970s. Seeing her mother work with very little to raise her, while dealing with language barriers has inspired Hanna to admire strong, independent and hardworking women. Some of her role models include Barbara Corcoran and Mark Cuban. Hanna is also very active in the struggle for equal pay for women, taking part in events across the city whenever she can. She is a dedicated member of the National Association of Professional Women, NYC Chapter.
As career driven as she is, Hanna Yurkovetskaya is always on the lookout for ways to develop her hobbies as well as her career. Despite maintaining a busy schedule, Hanna enjoys going to the gym, reading, and attending professional development seminars. Currently, she is working closely with a product engineer to develop a product for which she has filed a provisional patent. Her hope is that she can successfully crowdfund the project and eventually audition for Shark Tank to prove herself as an entrepreneur.
Hanna’s educational background include a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from John Jay College of Criminal Justice and an M.P.A in Human Resources Management.
